How I Work

Me, directly, from the first call to launch and beyond. There are no account managers or handoffs. For specialized needs like large print runs, I coordinate trusted vendors behind the scenes, but you only ever deal with one person.

Yes. It’s my primary focus, and I’ve been building and running it since 2022.

Most of my clients are established small and mid-sized businesses that have outgrown patchwork DIY marketing and want one accountable person handling their website, branding, print, and hosting. If you’re not sure whether you’re a fit, a quick call will tell us both.

I reply within one business day, often much sooner. Expectations around response times are set up from the start of every project, so you’re never left guessing.

No. Most clients start with one, usually a website and brand, and add others over time as it makes sense.

Pricing & Process

It depends on the service and scope. Websites and branding are quoted per project, print is quoted based on the product, quantity, and finish, and hosting has set monthly plans. Every project starts with a conversation, and you’ll get your pricing in writing before you commit to anything.

Yes. Your proposal includes scope and pricing in writing. If the scope changes during the project, we talk about it before it affects your cost.

It starts with a Discovery Call (a no-obligation conversation), followed by a written proposal and agreement, a kickoff call, the build, and then launch and ongoing care. See How It Works.

No. The Discovery Call is a conversation, not a sales pitch.

Yes. I offer flexible payment options and am happy to work out a plan that fits your budget. Just ask.

It depends on scope, and I’ll give you a realistic timeline before we start. A smaller, informational website of around five pages can often be completed in a week or less, sometimes in a single business day. A larger, more complex site typically takes four to six weeks.

Yes. Nothing launches without your review and approval.

Websites & Hosting

Yes. The site is yours: domain, content, and all. If you ever want to host it elsewhere or hand it to someone else, you can.

Those tools are fine for a very simple starting point, but they limit how much you can customize, and you pay them monthly no matter what. A custom WordPress build gives you real flexibility in how the site looks and works, and it’s genuinely yours.

Yes. If your existing brand is solid, we build around it. If it needs a refresh, we can talk about that too.

There are three plans: Standard ($39/month), WordPress Managed ($79/month), and Complete Care ($139/month, which includes an hour of content updates or website changes each month). All include security monitoring, backups, updates, and direct access to me. Paying annually saves 10%. See the full comparison.

Yes. You can move up or down as your website’s needs change.

Yes. I can move it to Elk Emporium Hosting with minimal downtime. If someone else built it, a quick review first helps make sure it’s set up in a way I can properly maintain.

Small fixes right after launch are handled as part of wrapping up the project. Ongoing changes and updates are what the hosting and management plans are for.

Yes. Hosting is billed monthly (or annually if you choose the prepay discount), and you can cancel when you need to. Prepaid amounts aren’t refunded for the remaining period, and closing an account requires 60 days’ written notice so I can wrap things up and hand off access smoothly. Depending on what’s involved, a cancellation fee may apply. Full details are in your service agreement.

Print Materials

No. I design and manage every project personally and coordinate production with trusted, vetted print partners chosen for what’s best for that specific product. You only work directly with me.

Yes. I can prepare your existing files correctly for production and manage the print run, even if I didn’t create the original design.

Ask. With more than 14 years in print production, I’ve worked with structural and folded pieces beyond standard catalog items, and there’s a good chance I can either do it or figure out how.

It varies by product and current workload. Many items are available with 2-day FedEx shipping once a design is approved. Tell me your deadline when you reach out and I’ll tell you honestly whether it’s realistic.

I can usually still source it and manage the branding for you. Just ask.

SEO & AI Search Visibility

No, and it’s worth being skeptical of anyone who promises that. What I can do is steadily improve the things that genuinely affect where you show up.

No. AI assistants make their own decisions, and no one outside those companies can guarantee placement. What I can do is make sure your business is described clearly enough to be a strong candidate.

It varies. This is ongoing work, not a one-time fix, and most businesses see meaningful movement over months, not days.

In most cases, no. I can usually work with your existing site.

Ongoing, similar to hosting. It works like a monthly relationship rather than a project with an end date.

What's Not Included

Not directly. If it’s part of your plan, I can help coordinate with a trusted specialist so your ads stay consistent with your website and branding.

Bigger changes like new pages, redesigns, and new features are scoped and quoted as separate projects. The monthly plans cover day-to-day care, not full rebuilds.

No. Hosting is a separate monthly plan, which keeps the project price focused on the build itself. Most clients move onto a plan after launch so the site keeps getting looked after.

Where I Work

No. I’m based in Raleigh, NC and actively growing here, and I also continue to serve businesses in the Daytona Beach and Central Florida area. Most of the work happens remotely, so location rarely gets in the way. See all service areas.

In the Raleigh area, including Garner, Fuquay-Varina, and Cary, in-person meetings are easy to arrange. In Florida, I visit several times a year and check in with clients in person when I’m able to. Everything in between moves forward remotely.

The short version is that Raleigh is where I’m building the next chapter. Elk Emporium was founded in Daytona Beach, and those client relationships are still active. Read the full story.
